Happy Birthday Tanis!

Today my nephew, Tanis, is 10 years old. He's such a fun boy with a great sense of humor and a zest for life. It's been a lot of fun having he and his brothers stay with us and we're excited to have had the opportunity to get to know him better.



This is the cake we made for his birthday. He asked for the Green Lantern's symbol for a cake design. It's not the best cake I've ever made, but I'm not used to trying to make boy-ish cakes (besides easy stuff). Anyway, we've had a fun day and the boys had a great time playing with legos and the constructs that Grandma Wixom let us borrow. Now we have 5 whole days until the next birthday - Dalamar's birthday is on Saturday and he was a cake that looks like Captain America's shield. *sigh*
