A Visit From An Old Friend

This is my friend Tori and her three kids. Tori and I have known each other since the 4th grade and have been friends since. I remember spending almost every waking hour at her house during most of my middle school years. My family moved away during 8th grade and we didn't see as much of each other - I think I went into withdrawals. Anyway, we've tried to keep in contact with each other as the years have gone by. Sometimes we've lost each other along the way but usually manage finding each other again. We finally talked on the phone a couple of months ago after a LONG time of not hearing from one another and it was great. We caught up on our lives - it's great when you can talk to someone after not hearing from them for several years and have it be a very easy and comfortable conversation. Anyway she called me yesterday and told me that she was headed up here on her way to visit her mom for a couple of weeks in Washington and wanted to know if she and her kids could come for a visit today. We had a great visit and the kids had a good time playing with one another. It's fun to be able to talk and not have kids getting after each other because they have other kids that they really like playing with. It was wonderful to see her again and hopefully it won't be another 7 years before we get another visit.
