Married???

Today we drove to a friend's house before church to help him get into his car so he could attend the meeting. (he's handicapped) Anyway, as we were driving to the building, Ian asked Jeff why this man wasn't married - did his wife die? He was astonished to know that the gentleman had never been married and then started askng all kinds of questions about when it was HIS turn to get hitched. That's when Abbey piped up and declared that she was going to marry Ian! He looked at her in a matter-of-fact way and explained that she couldn't marry him. "You aren't allowed to marry your brothers or sisters," he said in a very authoritative voice. She covered her face with her hands and burst into tears. "Ian doesn't want to marry me!!!" She wailed and howled for about 3 minutes before I could calm her down enough to explain that there was someone just as special as her brother waiting for her somewhere to marry her. That seemed to calm her down a little bit - but not much. How is it that they can scream and fight like mortal enemies during the course of a typical day and still want to get married? Maybe they like each other after all.
