Sometimes we sit down to dinner and it's all we can do to keep the monkeys from swinging from the chandelier. Other times it seems like they've been shot in the bum with a tranquilizer dart and we have to work really hard to have any sort of conversation at all. Then there are nights like tonight when the things the kids say make me laugh and laugh!
It all started when Ian noticed that all of the girls (except for grandma) were sitting on one side of the table and the boys were sitting on the other. "Girl, girl girl, girl, girl, boy, boy!" Then Emma decided that she'd name us all female and males. Then Ian piped back up and said that males are supposed to marry females and females are supposed to marry males so he was going to marry a female. Out of nowhere Abbey says, "And that's why I'm going to marry Destructo Boy*!" She started telling all of us about his wonderful attributes and how he looks so nice when he's at church. Ahh, to be young again! Hopefully Destructo Boy will have a new nickname by then and he'll look nice even when he's in his play clothes.

That is so funny! He always says he is going to marry Abbey or Gracie!! So funny they already think about these things! Glad she notices his efforts to look so Handsome!!
Hmmmm... I always wanted to marry Wonder Woman, but only after Linda Carter played her on TV.
She can tie me up with that rope of hers.
Kids know how to keep things exciting! Carsten is at the stage where he doesn't want to admit girls exist, it's pretty funny!
