Yesterday was a big day for us! I went to the equipment rental place Friday afternoon and picked up a 5000 pound tractor with a tiller on the back of it and brought it home. Some friends of ours helped me unload it - thanks Carl & Lori - and they put it in the backyard so that Jeff could drive it around the next moring. We woke up early and fired it up! Eric, Jeff's brother, came over to help supervise and even drove the tractor around for awhile. He was really great - thanks Eric! We had some unexpected help from some friends that moved away about a month ago. They brought their 5 kids and put them to work for us. They picked up rocks, raked up weeds and shoveled dirt. Brother Roberts (the family was the Roberts family) brought his 3 wheeler and hooked a harrow to the back and helped us collect weeds and level out the yard. Just a little bit of work left to do now and then we will be ready for the man to come on Tuesday to install the sprinkler pipes. Maybe in a month or so I'll have a wonderful backyard to play in...yeah!!!
