How Firm Is Your Foundation?

The annual Primary Program was about a week and a half ago at church and we were sitting in the audience along with all of the other proud parents. Last year we were quite entertained by Ian's antics. He turned around backward in his chair, pointed at the lights on the ceiling and had a great time ignoring those who were trying to get him to sit still. This year he spent the time blowing kisses at us and waving. That was nothing compared to what he did last year, so we waved and blew kisses back.

The best part of the whole thing was when the kids were singing their songs. We couldn't see Abbey because we didn't get there in time to sit in the front row and the lady sitting in front of me had a biggish head, but we could hear Abbey! She was the loudest 4 year old up there and we sure could tell when they were singing a song she knew.

Since the program Abbey has been singing songs to herself as she goes about her day. Today she went into the bathroom and started singing (over and over and over again), "HOW FIRM A FOUNDATION!!!" She didn't know any of the other words but, man, that girl can belt it when she wants to!

So...How firm is your foundation?

At least your kids sing! I've got one who does, and the other who refuses because he "doesn't know the words to the song". What does he do during Primary then? Then again, I don't want to know.

BTW, there couldn't be a more appropriate place to sing about firm foundations than the bathroom. Really. That is so cute!

We loved watching Duncan, he was singing with all his heart and tilting his head back and moving it back and forth! It was so funny!!
