Today we went to the zoo! The kids, Eric, Carolyn, Savannah and I all piled into the minivan and headed to Boise this morning to see what the animals were up to. There was a GINORMOUS turtle and a dragon that the kids loved. We saw the zoo keeper feeding the penguins and even got to get up close and personal with a tiger. It was pretty fun. We missed seeing the bigger animals like the elephants, giraffes and larger primates. The Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake is better for that stuff but the Boise zoo is easier on the calf muscles! (No hills) There's also a beautiful miandering (is that how you spell it?) pond or river or something like that. Anyway, the kids loved the giraffe slide the best. I'm attaching pictures so you can see what we did. Ian Liked sitting on the camel while Abbey wanted to sit in an egg shell. In one Abbey is showing a turtle to Savannah and explaining something that I couldn't translate. My favorite is of Ian on the slide! He makes the best faces. Love you all!
