It's finally here! We've had a wonderful day together as a family celebrating the Saviors birth, hopefully you all did too! We went over to Jeff's parent's home last night for dinner and to read the Christmas story from Luke in the Bible. It was a lot of fun and the kids had a great time. We came home and all of our children were sound asleep by the time we pulled into the driveway. Of course, we had to leave out cookies and milk for Santa and even some dry oatmeal for his reindeer. We also sprinkled reindeer dust outside so that our home could be spotted easily from Santa's sleigh. (It's dry oatmeal mixed with glitter - the reindeer smell the oats and see the sparkling ground) The kids always wake up with a new little stuffed animal in bed with them so that they know that Santa's been here and then they come down to wake us up. We were all spoiled this year and the kids loved everything that our friends and family have given them - thank you - you were all very generous to us this year!
So now we're getting ready for a big Christmas dinner with all of the family that are around here. Jeff's sister, Callie, and her family are heading up today to spend a couple of days with everyone too. We're excited to see her new little baby, Traysen. Hopefully there won't be any spilled juice or anything too crazy at dinner time. We ARE talking about my children though. Keep your fingers crossed!!! Merry Christmas!
