Isn't Christmas time FUN??? Jeff has several siblings and this year they all decided that it was going to be the year of the flat screen TV for their dad. So they hunted and hunted until a fabulously awesome deal was found on a 40" flat screen LCD HDTV. There was enough surplus to also fund a new entertainment center to go with the shiny new TV - it was going to be the BEST CHRISTMAS EVER! Until Jeff's dad called Sunday night and announced that he was going to buy one on Black Friday and could Jeff please help him figure out the differences between TV A and TV B so he'd be sure to get the best deal? We quickly decided that it'd be a good idea to deliver Christmas a month early this year so we loaded up the burb and loaded up the Bondo Wonder (Dad's trailer) and drove the 30 miles so that we could play Santa Claus. It was great fun. We backed the trailer in and made everyone stand in the frigid freezing cold while we s.l.o.w.l.y. pulled the tarp off of the entertainment center. Mom's reaction was PERFECT!
Then we told them that we were afraid to drive all the way there with the card attached to the Entertainment Center and so they'd have to come into the house to see it. We all marched in and there, in the living room, the big, beautiful TV was plugged in with a digital Christmas card on the screen. The reaction then was almost better than the first.
We spent the next several hours tearing down one TV shrine and putting together another. It was a good night. AND I can officially cross one person off of my shopping list *check* and move on to the next.

That is nice to check one off the Christmas list. I don't have much for Christmas either but I think that kids will still do fine. Thank goodness for family. Are you going to do Black Friday?
What a great idea! I am almost done, thank goodness! The crowds bring out the worse in me. Happy Thanksgiving/:)
