We went to the park tonight with the family. The kids were excited that Jeff was able to come with us this time because he's been so busy that he hasn't been able to tag along on our previous trips. It was a bit chilly and so we were all in our jackets and the kids were having a great time on the swings, monkey bars, slides and the merry-go-round. Jeff actually became quite popular with the other kids at the park because he was willing to push so many on the merry-go-round. One kid yelled at Jeff that he was "Awesome!" Jeff said thanks and then Ian started telling all of the kids how strong his dad is. "He's even stronger than Heavenly Father!", he said. Jeff's face turned red and he told Ian that no one was stronger than Heavenly Father. The other kids gave them both funny looks and went on playing.
We also went down to a little pond that's in the park and looked at the ducks and watched them swim around. Emma tried several times to fall in, on accident, but didn't succeed - thank goodness!
Abbey's learning how to be a big kid right now. She's taken to her older sister's example and is now learning how to dance and sing and be sassy. I have two teenagers who aren't even 8 years old yet! It's going to get interesting in our home over the next several years, I can just tell.
My friend, Kris, is coming for a visit in a couple of days! Yeah! I miss that girl. We're going to do all of the things our husbands hate - girl movies, pedicures, chocolate and scrapbooking! Wah-hoo!
